How we collect, use, and protect your personal information — and the rights you have over it.
Effective date: July 19, 2026At Adswot, trust is the foundation of every client relationship we build — and that starts with being straightforward about your data. This policy explains, in plain language, what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It's written to comply with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

Adswot ("Adswot," "we," "us," or "our") is a Canadian digital growth company offering strategy, AI-powered search optimization, automation, and performance marketing services. This policy applies to our website, our contact and consultation forms, and any other service that links to it.
We collect only what we need to run the site, respond to you, and — where you've agreed — market to you.
| Category | Examples | When it's collected |
|---|---|---|
| Information you give us directly | Name, email address, message content, phone number if provided | When you submit our contact form, book a consultation, or email us |
| Newsletter / subscription details | Email address | When you subscribe via our footer signup |
| Technical & usage information | IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, referring URL, approximate location | Automatically, via cookies and similar technologies (see Section 5), only for categories you've consented to |
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information (such as health, financial account, or government ID data) through this website.
We do not sell your personal information, and we never use information from your enquiry to send marketing emails unless you've separately checked the opt-in box on our form.
Under PIPEDA, we rely on your consent to collect, use, or disclose personal information, except in limited circumstances where the law permits us to do otherwise (for example, to comply with a legal obligation). Consent can be:
You may withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice. See Section 10 for how.
When you first visit our site, a cookie banner lets you choose which categories of cookies to allow. Nothing beyond strictly necessary cookies is set until you make a choice.
| Category | Purpose | Can be disabled? |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Core functionality — page navigation, form submission, remembering your cookie choice itself | No — required for the site to function |
| Functional | Remembers preferences to make your visit more convenient | Yes |
| Analytics | Helps us understand traffic and usage so we can improve the site | Yes |
| Marketing | Used to measure and personalize marketing, where enabled | Yes |
You can change your choice at any time by clicking "Cookie Preferences" in the footer of any page. Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies directly — see your browser's help section for instructions.
Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation requires clear, opt-in consent before we send you any commercial electronic message (CEM) — think newsletters, promotions, or service updates that aren't a direct reply to your enquiry. In line with CASL, we:
A reply to your contact-form enquiry is not a marketing message and doesn't require this separate opt-in — it's covered by the implied consent you gave by contacting us.
We don't sell or rent your personal information. We may share it narrowly with:
Where a service provider is located outside Canada, your information may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction, including lawful access by foreign authorities. We select providers with appropriate safeguards in place.
We keep contact-form and enquiry data for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to you and maintain business records, and marketing-consent data for as long as your consent remains active plus a reasonable period afterward to demonstrate compliance. When information is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information we hold, including restricted access and secure transmission. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security — but we work to minimize risk and will notify affected individuals and applicable authorities as required by law in the event of a breach involving a real risk of significant harm.
Under PIPEDA, you have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 13. If you're not satisfied with our response, you have the right to file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Our services are directed at businesses and professionals. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13, and we ask that individuals under that age not submit information through our site.
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We'll revise the effective date at the top of this page, and for material changes, we'll provide a more prominent notice on the site.
Questions, access requests, or consent withdrawals can be sent to our team at any time:
We aim to acknowledge privacy-related requests within 30 days, as required under PIPEDA.
